The goal of the GNCA is the promotion of nursing science in Greece, research, education, retraining and information of nurses in health matters with the ultimate goal of benefiting the nursing community and the wider society. To achieve the above purpose, the association acts according to the appropriate means, in particular:
Explores the factors influencing health care.
It cooperates with public and private organizations having any related mission both in Greece and abroad and especially in the countries of the European Union.
It organizes lectures, conferences, seminars, scientific meetings and exchange program of scientists.
It informs and informs the political leadership and the people on all matters related to Nursing Science, with publications in magazines and newspapers as well as through radio, television and the internet.
Creates scientific material (books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, etc.)
It awards scholarships to nurses and nursing students who contribute to the production of new knowledge for nursing science.
It supports and strengthens the research activities of young nurses.
For the most complete and effective pan-Hellenic action, it is possible to establish branches of the Society of Nursing Studies in large provincial urban centers of the country after a decision of the Central Board of Directors of the union.
